It’s Borrowed Fee Schedule – Short Term Rental


For Renters & Owners

Renter’s fee structure:

Rental

When you rent an item through the It’s Borrowed Service, you will be charged the rental rate listed by the owner, plus a 10% service fee paid to It’s Borrowed..

If you return an item late, you will be charged double the daily rate for each day the return of the item is overdue, plus the 10 % service fee for those days. Items 5 (five) days or more overdue will be considered lost and will be billed accordingly (See below).

 

Damage or Lost

In the event that a rented item is damaged, email our Help Desk with photos of the damage and It’s Borrowed will mediate the cost to replace or fix it.
If the item is deemed less than 50% damaged or still useable, you the renter will be charged that percentage of damage to the item that It’s Borrowed has determined, in its sole discretion, to be attributable to your use of the item, plus the rental and service fees applicable to your rental period.

If the item is deemed 50% damaged or unusable, you the renter, will be charged the rental and service fees applicable to your rental period plus a replacement fee for the item (which is the replacement value designated by the owner plus a 10% service fee).. If the item is lost or otherwise not returned within 5 (five) days of the scheduled end of the rental period, it will be deemed lost and you the renter, will be charged the rental and service fees applicable to your rental period plus a replacement fee for the value the item.

Owner’s fee structure:

Rental

A 10% commission is deducted from your rental rate for the It’s Borrowed service. An item returned late will be charged the [double the] daily rate plus service fees for those days and paid out to the owner when the item is returned. Items 5 days or more overdue will be considered lost and you will be paid the replacement value you set for the item.(See below).

If the item is deemed 50% damaged or unusable, the owner will receive the replacement value along with money from the rental minus the 10% service fee for the rental which will go to It’s Borrowed. Money awarded for replacement and rental will not exceed 110% of the replacement value. Renters see a replacement value that is 10% higher than the replacement value established by the owner when posting an item. The 10% rise in replacement value is kept by It’s Borrowed in the event of replacement for mediation expenses.
