Yes, It’s Borrowed allows strangers to rent items to others. Delivery and pickup is up to you.

You can ask your host to post additional items to meet your needs or post a “Neighborhood request” in  app for other users to provide you with items. Pickup and delivery may be necessary.

Acquiring items to rent out.

Yes, the rental company has it’s own loss or damage policy so It’s Borrowed is not responsible in anyway for the items.

No, You can post items you don’t yet own to It’s Borrowed. When a request comes in for that item you can acquire the items quickly from Offerup, Swap Meet, Play it Again Sports, Amazon or through our It’s Borrowed Store which features Amazon Items perfect for It’s Borrowed.

Lost or damaged items

Don’t use anything that doesn’t appear safe. Email help@itsborrowed.com for a replacement

Accidents happen. If you broke an item that you rented, the value of the item or repair will be debited from your account in accordance with It’s Borrowed terms of service. Email help@itsborrowed.com to report the loss.

We guaranty items against loss or damage. If an item is lost or damaged, the person who rented the item is responsible and funds will be withdrawn from the person who rented the item. If we cannot obtain funds from the renter, It’s Borrowed will pay for repair or replacement of an item up to $500.

Billing Questions

It’s Borrowed rentals are by the day. If you need something long term you can ask the owner to drop the daily rate to as low as $4 per day.

Yes, choose only the days you want to rent the item. If you need it longer, go into the It’s Borrowed app and request the item for additional days.

To receive payments for items you rented out, you must have a Stripe account. To rent items from someone else, only a credit or debit card is required.

You can cancel up to 48 hours ahead of your rental with no penalty. Cancelling within 48 hours of your rental is at the discretion of the item owner. Email help@itsborrowed.com for assistance.

When the owner of the item confirms your request, you are billed for the rental.

Yes, It’s Borrowed allows strangers to rent items to others. Delivery and pickup is up to you.

Use common sense and don’t post dangerous or items of bad taste.

 Items not allowed:

 

  • Weapons (Knives, guns, potato guns, explosives, etc)
  • Single use items (bullets, diapers, disposable goods)
  • Food or hygienic items (toothpaste, Deodorant)
  • Living things (People, animals, yeast, etc)
  • Media files ( hard copy or digital)
  • Items that you value over $500
  • Anything you or someone else would deem dangerous
  • Items of sexual nature (sex toys, pornographic media)

It is up to you. We recommend being less than local companies offering similar items.

By agreeing with the It’s Borrowed terms of service, neither It’s Borrowed nor the owner of the items is responsible for your safety. Please do not use an item that you are not uncomfortable with.

We recommend disinfecting all items before use. Owners are instructed to hand over items in a clean condition but are not liable for dirt or contamination.
